We are approximately 14 mins from Cabarita beach which has Woolworths, chemist, bakery, pub, butcher and various retails and dining outlets – oh and Australia’s most beautiful beach! And yes Woollies does home delivery here if you want to pre-purchase your goodies and have them delivered!
Approximately 3km of road (Round Mountain or Reserve Creek Road) is an unsealed dirt road. It is a glorious, picturesque drive but is windy and narrow in parts so please always drive to conditions and give way to other vehicles/cyclists when required. It is a gorgeous country road with spectacular views – it’s a fantastic journey!
You must get approval to bring a dog to the property. We have strict rules around dogs on the property please see online information for more details as these restrictions may not suit all dog owners. No dogs are to be brought to the property without prior approval.

Telstra has excellent range, but Optus is not so great and Vodaphone doesn’t work at all. A homing pigeon may find us eventually.
We have chickens, ducks, horses, cows, pigs, lots of wildlife and a gorgeous chocolate Labrador called Muddles who no doubt will come to visit you to say ‘hi’ during your stay.
Currently our most direct road to Murwillumbah is still under repair from the landslides from floods in 2022. You will need to go via Clothiers Creek Road to Murwillumbah (approx 35 mins). We are hoping the road will be open by Sept 2023 in which case it will be a quick 15 min drive to the start of the rail trail! Once the road is open we will be offering a variety of transfer options for people wanting to enjoy the rail trail.

All guests to Coolamon Station are required to be listed on our farm bio-security register as a part of our obligations to the NSW Rural Lands Board. The register will be emailed to you a week before your visit (along with all the other interesting farm and Woolshed information) for you to return before your visit, and is kept here on file for reference by the authorities in the event of a bio-security outbreak such as foot and mouth disease, etc. This is a critical requirement of your stay and unfortunately we do not allow any unregistered guests on the property.
Yes, our family lives on the property along with our farm care-taker Uncle Jay. Although the Woolshed is private you will see us working about the farm and paddocks on the property, we work and live here so are available to help you should you need any assistance during your stay.
